Mr. J.William Gayner;
29- 7th. St.,
Salem, N.J.
Sept. 15. 1926.
Dear Mr. Gayner:
Your letter of the 13th. received and I am sorry to say that nothing definite has been accomplished so far at this plant. A two weeks contract was made on the 13th. with Baltimore and Greenberg Pa. people and if they can make the terms, they will start production as soon as possible, but it is not certain yet what they can do.
Did you ever know a man by the name of P.E.Moore,who used to be superintendent at Taygart Valley Glass Co., Grafton, W.Va. You know this plant was burned and [as] they do not intend rebuilding it and so Moore claims that he has a large number of their organization with him and they want to come here . He was here Monday and spent four or five hours going over the plant and was delighted with the outlay. He said on leaving that it was the cleanest glass factory that he had ever seen , whether idle or in fire and that it was in good shape after being down so long. I told him about you then and that you were responsible for all of that.
I am obliged for the information about Hires- Turner. I also heard from J.H.Williams regarding his new feeder. What do you know and think of it? Write me about it. Also tell me what you think about coming back here if they get started on the right track.
With best wished for you and Mrs. Gayner, I am,
Your very truly,
W. H. Loyd
